Lesson Explanation
Being able to name and describe objects in your home is a very practical English skill. You will need this vocabulary when describing where you live, giving instructions to guests, or simply having a conversation about daily life at home.
To describe the location of objects, we use prepositions of place:
✦ on → “The book is on the table.”
✦ in → “The clothes are in the wardrobe.”
✦ next to / beside → “The lamp is next to the bed.”
✦ under / above / opposite → “The mat is under the table.”
