Lesson Explanation

In English, the week starts on Monday in most of Europe and the Arab world — but in the United States and some other countries, the week starts on Sunday. Either way, knowing all seven days and how to use them is essential for everyday communication.

Important rules to remember:

✦ Always write days with a capital letter — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday…
✦ Use “on” before a day — “I work on Monday.”
✦ Use “last / next / this” to say when — “I saw her last Tuesday.”

💡
Pro Tip: A common mistake is saying “in Monday” or “at Monday” — always use “on Monday”. Remember: on + day, in + month/year, at + time.
